On a perfect Friday in mid-July, Rust Belt Business Law closed its doors at Noon and welcomed clients, staff, family, friends, and others to a Client Appreciation Party in our brand-new parking lot. The party lasted until 3:00 p.m., at which time everyone headed their own way, including RBBL staff. Therein lies a bit of profundity that is worth expanding upon.
"Until the end of August, we will close at 3:00 p.m. instead of 5:00 p.m. every Friday, to do more company events like going to concerts, making things at Erie ClaySpace, and hosting a Field Day for our clients and partners," said Rust Belt Business Law owner Adam Williams.
He continued: "it sounds pretty crazy, for a law firm — especially one that's growing as quickly as ours — to give up 'billable hours.' But the truth is, closing early wasn't a hard decision. Thanks to our fantastic team members and all of the efficiencies we've put in place; we're doing more before 3:00 p.m. these days then we used to by 5:00 p.m."
"I've always wanted my team to have time for their lives outside of work, and pack in as many activities as they can during Erie's short, beautiful summer. Now I'm helping them make it happen" Williams concluded.
