What are "non-essential" businesses?

Gyms, hair salons, nail salons, spas, concert venues, golf courses, retail facilities, any non-essential businesses are all advised to close.

The fact is, you, as a business owner, have a choice. That choice will be influenced by more factors than I can outline. You need to consider public health, your customers' and employees' safety, and the financial impact on all of your stakeholders.

You also need to consider what precautions you can take if you choose to keep your doors open. If you boldly declare that you are staying open, there will be a lot of backlash. The community will be upset, and your employees may not understand your decision.
